As we prepare to welcome a new school year, we are reminded that every learner brings unique experiences, strengths, and challenges into the classroom. To nurture compassion, discernment, and hope, educators must be equipped not only with effective teaching strategies but also with basic counseling skills that enable them to better understand and support their students.

In line with this commitment, the Guidance Center successfully conducted the 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗦𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿-𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 – 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 on June 2–3, 2026, bringing together faculty members from the Basic Education and Higher Education departments.

Designed to enhance educators’ counseling competencies and responsiveness to the diverse needs of learners, the two-day seminar provided practical counseling techniques, valuable insights, and meaningful learning experiences that can be applied both inside and outside the classroom.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our resource speaker, Dr. Mary Jane A. Galang,RGC , for sharing her expertise and inspiring educators to deepen their commitment to fostering inclusive learning environments and promoting student well-being.

We would also like to thank the participants for their active engagement, meaningful contributions, and commitment throughout the seminar-workshop. Your dedication to continuous learning reflects a shared commitment to helping learners thrive both academically and personally.

Equipped with new knowledge and skills, may we continue to empower learners through compassion, understanding, and inclusive educational practices. Every act of support has the power to make a lasting difference.
