1. Educational Service Contracting (ESC)

It is a system of government financial assistance that provides grants for deserving elementary graduates to pursue secondary education in a private high school of their choice. The current amount of subsidy is 11,000.00 pesos.

2. Senior High School Voucher Program (SHS VP)

This refers to a subsidy given by the Government to qualified Grade 10 completers to enable them to enroll at a VP-participating SHS of their choice.
 
Amount:
Grade 10 completer from Private School – P 16,000.00
Grade 10 completer from Public School – P 20,000.00
 
(Note: The amount is lower for a Private School Completer since the student has already availed of the ESC subsidy from Grade 7-10)

Government Assistance and Scholarship Grants

I. General Policy

Grantees and applicants are responsible for managing their respective scholarship applications, including submission of documents, follow-ups, and email correspondence with the concerned government or partner agencies.

However, Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES) and Tulong Dunong Program (TDP) grantees are directly assisted by the Scholarship Officer of Pilar College, in coordination with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED).

II. Recognized Government Assistance Programs

Pilar College accepts educational assistance and scholarship grants from the following government agencies:

A. Commission on Higher Education (CHED)

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) provides several financial assistance programs to support academically deserving and financially challenged students in higher education institutions (HEIs).

  1. CHED Merit Scholarship Program (CMSP)
  2. Tulong Dunong Program (TDP)
  3. Tertiary Education Subsidy (TES)
  4. CHED–COSCHO (Scholarship for Coconut Farmers and Their Families)

B. Oher Government Agencies

  1. Armed Forces of the Philippines Educational Assistance- AFP Educational Assistance
  2. Overseas Workers Welfare Administration- OWWA
  3. National Police Commission- NAPOLCOM

III. Pilar College Alumni Association Scholarship (PCAAS)

The Pilar College Alumni Association Scholarship (PCAAS) is a full educational grant awarded to deserving students who demonstrate academic potential and financial need.

Scholarship Coverage

The scholarship covers full tuition and miscellaneous fees for a duration of four (4) years at Pilar College.

Qualifications of Applicants

To qualify for the PCAAS, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Must be a high school graduate from any public or private school.
  2. Must be an indigent student with verified financial need.
  3. Must be willing to enroll in Pilar College as a full-time student.
  4. Must have a minimum general average of 80% in academic subjects in high school.
  5. The family’s annual income must not exceed ₱100,000.00.
