Scholarship Grants

BASIC EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

Any student may enjoy the discounts offered by Pilar College under the following conditions and requirements:
I.

Payment Discount

Five Percent (5%) Discount

A five percent (5%) discount is granted to students who opt for the yearly mode of payment.

II.

Siblings Discounts

  1. Fifteen Percent (15%) Discount
    Granted to the fourth child in a family whose three older siblings are currently enrolled at Pilar College.
  2. Twenty Percent (20%) Discount
    Granted to the fifth child in a family whose four older siblings are currently enrolled at Pilar College.
III.

Academic Scholarship Program

For Valedictorian and Salutatorian Graduates

A. A one hundred percent (100%) tuition fee discount is granted to incoming Grade 7 students who graduated as Valedictorian from a class with at least one hundred (100) graduates in their previous school.

B. A fifty percent (50%) tuition fee discount is granted to incoming Grade 7 students who graduated as Salutatorian from a class with at least one hundred (100) graduates in their previous school.

 

For Continuing Students

A. A one hundred percent (100%) tuition fee discount is granted to continuing students of Pilar College who ranked First Honors (No. 1) in their grade level during the previous school year.

B. A fifty percent (50%) tuition fee discount is granted to continuing students of Pilar College who ranked Second Honors (No. 2) in their grade level during the previous school year.

HIGHER EDUCATION DEPARTMENT

SCHOLARSHIPS, GRANTS, AND DISCOUNTS

Academic Scholarship for Honor Students (Per Semester Basis)

Students who rank among the top two at the end of each semester shall receive the following tuition fee discounts for the succeeding semester, provided that they meet the required academic standards and course load requirements.

For All Programs

  • First Honors – 100% Tuition Fee Discount
    Granted to students with a general average of at least 95%, with no grade lower than 92% in any course.
  • Second Honors – 50% Tuition Fee Discount
    Granted to students with a general average of at least 92%, with no grade lower than 89% in any course.

General Guidelines

  1. The scholarship is awarded every semester and may be renewed provided the student maintains the required grades and conduct.
  2. The average grade is computed from all enrolled subjects, whether general education or professional courses.
  3. To qualify, a student must be enrolled in at least eighteen (18) units for the semester.
  4. The scholarship may be revoked at any time in cases of:
    • Unsatisfactory conduct;
    • Poor academic performance; or
    • Serious violation of school rules and regulations.
  5. The tuition fee discount shall be applied in the succeeding semester following the semester in which the student qualified.

Academic Scholarship for Senior High Graduates

  • Valedictorians:
    A one hundred percent (100%) tuition fee discount for one semester is granted to first-year college students who graduated as Senior High School Valedictorian in a class of at least one hundred (100) graduating students.
  • Salutatorians:
    A fifty percent (50%) tuition fee discount for one semester is granted to first-year college students who graduated as Senior High School Salutatorian in a class of at least one hundred (100) graduating students.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Must be an incoming first-year college student at Pilar College.
  2. Must have graduated as Valedictorian or Salutatorian from Senior High School with at least 100 graduates in the batch.

Scholarship Coverage:

  • Valedictorian: 100% tuition discount for one (1) semester.
  • Salutatorian: 50% tuition discount for one (1) semester.

 

Requirements:

  1. Original or certified true copy of Certificate of Rank including the total number of graduates in the batch duly signed by the previous school principal.
  2. Copy of Form 138 (Report Card).
  3. One (1) piece 2X2 Picture
  4. Accomplished Academic Scholarship Application Form.

 

Guidelines on Application:

  1. Secure the Academic Scholarship Application Form from the Registrar’s Office.
  2. Submit all requirements to the Scholarship Officer upon enrollment.
  3. The scholarship is valid for one semester only and may be renewed upon meeting the academic criteria of the college.
  4. Any falsified documents or inaccurate ranking certifications will result in automatic disqualification.
